The BSE has raised the circuit filter for Jio Financial Services to 20%, effective from September 4. The stock was removed from the BSE indices on September 1. Circuit filters are price ranges for each index.

Jio Financial Services will be excluded from Sensex and other S&P BSE indices on September 1, 2023. The decision was made because the company's shares did not hit the lower circuit on August 29 and 30. The index committee had said that if JFS hit the lower circuit on August 31, the removal would be postponed. The committee applied a 2 PM IST cut-off time for the lower circuit limit assessment.
The BSE informed on Thursday that the stock did not hit the lower circuit on Tuesday and Wednesday, and even on Thursday (till 2 pm), the stock didn't hit the lower circuit. So, the stock will be out of all the BSE indices.

Jio Financial Services shares hit a lower circuit of 5% for the third straight day since listing, opening 5% lower at Rs 227.25 on BSE and Rs 224.65 on NSE. The stock has been falling continuously due to heavy institutional selling and offloading by passive funds. JFSL shares were scheduled to exit from Nifty and Sensex on August 23, but the decision was postponed to August 28. The stock will be removed from all the S&P BSE Indices effective prior to the open of trading on August 29.

Jio Financial Services share price: The stock was earlier slated to get excluded from the indices on August 24; however, since the scrip hit the lower circuit for two consecutive sessions, the Index Committee has determined to postpone the removal of JFSL from all the S&P BSE Indices by another three days.
LIC said that the cost of the acquisition of shares is 4.68 per cent of the pre-demerged cost of Reliance Industries Limited as per the notice of the company dated 19/07/2023 to the stock exchanges.
Shares of Jio Financial Services, the demerged financial services unit of Reliance Industries, slipped again on 22 August. The stock was locked in the 5% lower circuit at Rs 236.45 on the NSE in the opening deals. The scrip had made a listless debut on 21 August, listing at Rs 262 on the NSE and Rs 265 on the BSE against its discovered price of Rs 261.85.
