The Israeli forces have hinted that they are close to catching Hamas Chief Yahya Sinwar. IDF has said that they have tightened the noose around southern Gaza’s main city of Khan Younis on Dec 5. Sinwar had been arrested in 1988 and sentenced to consecutive life terms. He was accused of planning the abduction and murder of two Israeli soldiers and the murder of four Palestinians.

A crowd of demonstrators gathered at Rome's Arch of Titus in front of the Colosseum on October 10 in a show of solidarity with Israel, after the death toll from the weekend Hamas attacks surpassed 1,000. The Star of David was projected onto the arch during the rally, said to be a sacred site for Jewish people after a Roman victory in AD 71 saw the fall of Jerusalem. The Israeli flag was also projected onto Rome's Palazzo Madama, the upper house of the Italian parliament.
