Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) witnessed a 5% surge in its stock price on April 2 following impressive quarterly business updates. Notably, IREDA sanctioned loans worth Rs 37,354 crore for FY 2023-24, representing a 14.63% increase from the previous year.

IREDA shares have been on a tear in recent weeks, hitting a new high of Rs 73.67 on Friday, December 8. This surge comes on the back of heavy volumes, with over 11.2 crore equity shares changing hands on the NSE and BSE. The stock has now doubled investor wealth since its issue price of Rs 32 per share, and has advanced over 47% from its listing price of Rs 50 in just 8 sessions.
