Talking with PTI, Shakuntalam Landcraft Director Pallavi Gupta told PTI, "We have bought 204 acres of industrial land in Surajpur, Greater Noida in an auction for about Rs 359 crores. We have planned to develop it as a gold-rated industrial park to house around 600 MSMEs at a total investment of about Rs 1,500 crore.

The industrial parks will generate employment for more than two lakh people and each park would be be spread across 13,500 acre land. Currently, Tamil Nadu has 21 industrial complexes, and seven special economic zones spread across 12 districts.

The construction of the park is expected to be completed in 2-3 years and will be able to produce 50 million mobile phones initially.
