Indian shares posted fresh closing highs today after touching life-highs earlier in the session, amid renewed buying in pharmaceuticals and IT stocks. The benchmark BSE Sensex closed up 0.02 percent at 38,285.75. The broader NSE Nifty ended 0.17 percent higher at 11,570.90.
The key equity indices are lifted by an appreciation in the Indian rupee. S&P BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty50 experienced a fresh high in the intra day trading during the morning trade session on Tuesday.
Bull market or bear market? The markets are likely to inch higher in the short term. The short-term target for the Nifty is 11653 whereas the reversal is pegged at 11480.
