At present, India had small denomination notes of Rs 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20, old Rs 50, Rs 100, Rs 200 and high denomination notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2000.

Foreign citizens can exchange foreign currency for Indian notes up to a limit of Rs 5,000 per week till December 15, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said on Friday.
