The Economic Survey 2022-23 was tabled in Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on January 31. As per the Survey, the 'entrenched inflation' may prolong the tightening cycle and therefore borrowing costs may stay higher for longer.

Eggs were sold in bulk last year at a price of around Rs 450 per hundred. However, its prices touched the level of Rs 630 per hundred in Jan. Meanwhile, the demand for export of eggs from India has suddenly increased and a record 50 million eggs are expected to be exported this month.
