Rain continues to lash parts of Rajasthan, Alwar town receives highest downpour

Rainfall continued across various districts of Rajasthan, with Bansur in Alwar receiving the highest downpour of 127 mm in the last 24 hours. The Meteorological Centre in Jaipur reported light to moderate rain across the state, with heavy rain noted in several areas. Key locations affected include Behror, Khairthal, Mandawar, Rajakheda, Gangapur, Weir, and Paota.

Several parts of MP’s Mandsaur district are waterlogged following heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, water has entered in Pashupatinath Temple. Water has blocked roads and has entered into the houses causing difficulties to residents. While speaking to ANI, Kotwali area is facing most problems. Reports of overflowing water-bodies have come in from Narayangarh & Daloda areas. Around 3000 people have been shifted to shelter homes. In some areas water receded within a few hours, so people returned to their houses. Several parts of the country including Mumbai, Kerala, Assam, Bihar and Gujarat are submerged in water.

At least five died and four injured after a wall in Maharashtra’s Pune Sinhgad College, Ambegaon collapsed at around 1:15 am today. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) had reached the spot to rescue those trapped under the debris. The wall collapsed due to heavy downpour. Those injured have been admitted to the hospital.
