Gold rate today: On the international market, Gold was quoting higher at USD 1,659.40 per ounce while silver was up by 0.96 per cent which is at USD 18.86 per ounce.

Gold Price Today: Gold prices on Friday edged lower after the US consumer prices increased more than expected in September. MCX December Gold futures were trading at Rs 50810 per 10 grams, down by Rs 74 or 0.15 per cent. Silver, on the other hand, defended Rs 57000 level.

Gold prices in India hit a record high in futures markets today amid higher global rates though physical buying remained suspended in domestic markets due to the 21-day lockdown.
