GQG Partners has increased its stake in GMR Airports Infrastructure to 5.17% by acquiring additional shares worth over Rs 433 crore through open market transactions. The asset management firm purchased 0.43% of the company’s shares, raising its investment share from 4.74% to 5.17%.

The company in its BSE filing said that passenger traffic in July grew by 30 per cent to 98.60 lakh year-on-year (YoY), while aircraft movement in July was also up 17 per cent to 64,809 YoY.

Shares of GMR Airports Infrastructure gained over 1 per cent in morning trade on Wednesday after the firm reported a PAT of Rs 104.82 crore for December quarter 2022-23. The scrip of the firm rose 1.31 per cent to Rs 38.65 on both BSE and NSE.
