The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, is nearing completion and will be inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 14. The temple was built by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha on 17 acres of land gifted by the UAE government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accepted an invitation to inaugurate the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi on February 14, 2024. This follows a meeting with BAPS leaders at his residence where he expressed enthusiastic support for the historic temple. The Prime Minister was also honored for his contributions to India and the world, including his efforts to revitalize pilgrimage sites.
