A marginally better-than-anticipated Q4 earnings and a correction in oil prices led to a positive start to the domestic market during the week. However, a mixed trend in the global market after the release of a status quo FED policy with caution about sustaining a high inflation trend led to a broad-based correction in the domestic market, Vinod Nair said.

Global markets rebounded after the US Fed Reserve raised the interest rate by 0.75%. After the US Fed policy, there has been a rise in the US markets. Dow closed above 300 points amid trading in the range of 825 points. Apart from this, there was a big rally in IT stocks and Nasdaq has jumped 2.5%. Markets in Europe saw a jump of 1.5%. SGX Nifty is up by more than 150 points and this index is trading with green mark.

The movement of the market will be decided by the Fed meeting. The commodity market will also have to be monitored. Indian stock market may show a decisive trading session tomorrow. Nifty will provide strong support at lower levels from 15,550 to 15,650 and will hold resistance at upper levels from 15,800 to 15,900. The positional range of Nifty is in the range of 15,500 to 16,000. Bank Nifty range is up to 34,000.
