As per the data, imports of vegetable oils rose 30% in November-January. Palm oil imports jumped by 77%. Edible oil import stood at 47.76 lakh tonnes in the first quarter of 2022-23. Sunflower oil import increased to 4.61 lakh tonnes. RBD Palmolein imports rose to 6.30 lakh tonnes.
