Patna is experiencing a surge in dengue cases with 15-20 admissions daily and the first dengue-related death of the season reported. As of August 29, 240 cases have been recorded in Patna. The health department, in collaboration with local authorities, is conducting fogging operations.

Jharkhand reported 70 fresh cases of dengue, an official said on Saturday. According to a bulletin of the health department, blood samples of 373 people were tested and of those, reports of 70 turned positive on Friday.
