Three-point seatbelt is mandatory for safety. 6 airbags will be required in 8-seater cars from October 1. 2 airbags are mandatory in all cars from January 1. Bharat NCAP will do rating of cars in the country. This decision of the government will affect the car prices. Installing airbags can increase the price of a car by at least Rs 50,000.
