The loop lines of the Indian Railways are constructed in a station area -- in this case, the Bahanagar Bazar station -- to accommodate more trains to ease out the operations.

Work on repairing tracks and overhead electric cables which had snapped is also going on, said officials. The affected tracks will be restored for normal services by Wednesday.
