Amidst increasing cases of corona, the central government panel has approved the emergency use of Corbevax vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 years. This vaccine of Biologic E Company has been approved by the Expert Committee of the Drug Controller (DCGI) on Thursday. This recommendation has now been sent to DCGI. DCGI will make an official announcement before giving the final approval from the Union Health Ministry. From 24 December 2021, Corbevax is being administered to children in the age group of 12 to 14 years.
