CLSA gave a target of Rs 1,288, which is only nine per cent upside from the Tata Consumer Products stock's current price. CLSA says that the upside in the stock is limited from expensive valuations. The Tata Consumer Products' stock is currently trading at 50X FY26CL EPS against the industry PE of 45X, says CLSA.

UPL denies that the whistleblower is a member of the board reported in the news article as these allegations were discussed and investigated by the Audit Committee and the Board in 2017/2018. The WhistleBlower Committee undertook a detailed review including each related party transactions with the help of independent law firms and had concluded two and half years back that those transactions were at arm’s length and in compliance with applicable laws.

Chris Wood sees a more stable rupee than the historic pattern of an annualised 4% depreciation against the US dollar as RBI has shown a continued commitment to maintain real interest rates. Still in the near term the risks on the currency are rising given oil’s continuing rally, he said. He further noted that the Indian currency does not look cheap on a real effective exchange rate basis.
