Home ministry on Tuesday (March 12, 2024) launched a portal (indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in) for people eligible to apply for Indian citizenship under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019. This decision came a day after the Central Government notified rules for the implementation of the CAA 2019. It has been more than four years since the Act was passed.
