The Supreme Court has permitted Subrata Roy to leave Tihar Jail on a four-week Parole. Earlier in the day, Sahara Chief Subrata Roy had sought parole to perform cremation rites of his mother who passed away in the wee hours this morning.

Subrata Roy has been in Tihar Jail for more than two years in relation with a long running dispute with markets regulator Sebi.
