A small team of Chandigarh University students came up with a unique idea for waste management. They invented an app called, "Track the Trash". It is a smart monitoring and management system that allows the agency to timely monitor the dustbins in a particular area. With the help of the sensors of the dustbins, the agency can monitor the dustbin in real-time about the current level of garbage in dustbin through the app. The app will also set a daily route for garbage truck drivers to make their job more efficient and easier. While speaking to ANI, Charvi Goel, a student said, "We have put censors in community bins so that garbage truck drivers will get to know their routes easily, once they login in the app."
