Equity benchmarks on Monday, October 19, 2020, gained around one per cent amid mixed global cues. The Sensex closed above 40,000-mark and the Nifty settled above 11,850. The BSE 30-share index, Sensex gained 449 points or 1.12 per cent to settle at 40,432. The NSE Nifty-50 index also rose 111 points or 0.94 per cent to settle at 11,873.
