The Puri Railway Station in Odisha is undergoing a major upgrade under the Indian Railways' Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The comprehensive project, with a budget of Rs 161.51 crore, aims to enhance the station's infrastructure and train handling capacity to meet the growing needs of the region. The current work focuses on improving facilities for the station's existing eight tracks, with plans for further expansion in the future. Puri Station is one of 1,309 stations across India slated for transformation under the Amrit Bharat Scheme, with 57 stations in Odisha included in the program.
