The Amarnath Yatra began on Saturday from the twin tracks -- the traditional 48-km Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag and the 14-km shorter but steeper Baltal route in Ganderbal.

Pilgrims from the first batch en route Amarnath cave shrine on Tuesday. They were being served with 'langar' at a camp in Moud area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur. A number of pilgrims have increased this year in Amarnath Yatra as compared to last year.
