Ministry of Finance extended the deadline to file Income Tax Return by one week and to link PAN with Aadhaar till August 31. You can link Aadhaar with PAN by four ways.

The department has also formally notified, under a CBDT notification of June 29, the procedure and format for "intimating Aadhaar number to the I-T Department by PAN holder and quoting the same in PAN applications".

As many as 2.07 crore taxpayers have already linked their Aadhaar with PAN. There are over 25 crore PAN card holders in the country while Aadhaar has been issued to 111 crore people.
