Instagram to extend Reels duration to 10 minutes; introduces new features for users

Instagram is reportedly planning to extend the duration of its Reels to 10 minutes, following in the footsteps of TikTok and YouTube. The platform has also introduced a new tool that lets users share comments on their posts or Reels on Stories, and a new feature where users can add music to their photo carousels. Creators can now collaborate with up to three creators on Reels, and users can collaborate with both public and private accounts.
