WhatsApp voice status on iPhone: Step-by-step guide to share it

WhatsApp voice status update for iPhone: WhatsApp has started rolling out 'voice status updates' features that let users record and share voice notes via status on iOS. According to reports, the Meta-owned messaging platform has made this feature available to several users. It is worth mentioning that the 'Voice Status' feature is being rolled out with the new WhatsApp version 23.5.77 for iOS. This means that iPhone users who want to share voice status will have to get the updated version.

For now, the instant messaging app will allow iOS users to post a voice note of 30 seconds as their status. Also, they will have the option of forwarding voice notes from their chats to status.

How to put voice recording on WhatsApp status on iPhone: Step-by-step guide

Step 1: Open WhatsApp on your iPhone device.

Step 2: Visit the 'Status' tab bottom of the left of your screen.

Step 3: Now click on the pencil icon on the top right corner of the screen under the 'status' option. 

Step 4:  On the pop-up, you can top the microphone icon and start recording your voice message.

Step 5: As mentioned above, you can record for up to 30 seconds.

Step 6: Once you are done with the recording of your voice message, release the microphone icon.

Step 7: You can listen and review your recording. If everything is okay, tap on the send icon to share your recording as a status update

The instant messaging app has reportedly started rolling out the feature on Android beta as well. Just like iOS, Android users will also have the option to discard a recorded message if they don't like it.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp is still rolling out the 'picture-in-picture'' feature. This will allow users to multitask during a WhatsApp call without pausing their video. Some reports claimed that users might start receiving these features over the coming weeks.
