OnePlus Pad 2 Review: OnePlus has launched the successor of the OnePlus Pad, dubbed the OnePlus Pad 2. The latest device has received several changes aimed at ensuring its competitiveness against other contemporary devices in the market. Some of the newly integrated features include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 along with AI features. The display and overall build have also undergone significant changes. OnePlus Pad 2 Review: When it comes to the design, the OnePlus Pad 2 sports a slimmer profile with a thickness of 6.49mm, giving it a more premium look. The all-metal build renders sturdiness, while the thinner body and curved edges enhance the aesthetics. Weighing 584g, the device has a solid feel but is on the heavier side. The size too has gone northward, with a height of 268.7mm and a width of 195.1mm. OnePlus Pad 2 Review: The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a capable processor that is further supported by up to 12GB of RAM. The OnePlus Pad 2 performs exceptionally well for a tab. The cooling mechanism works efficiently, preventing the device from getting overheated.  With Hyper-Boosted gameplay, the device handles games smoothly, and it is also capable of multitasking without any hiccups. The device runs on OxygenOS 14.1 based on Android 14, offering a clean UI experience. The UI has received a smooth OnePlus phone integration and includes some AI features, such as Smart Eraser 2.0 and AI Studio, among others. The Open Canvas functionality eases multitasking on the device. Moreover, there are some features that are slated to be operational in the later part of the year after OTA updates, including the AI Toolbox features, such as AI Speak, AI Writer, and AI Summary.

OnePlus Pad 2 Review: The OnePlus Pad 2 has indeed brought a premium design and seamless performance together, offering features like a full-metal body, slim profile, clean UI, good performance, vibrant display, and excellent battery. However, the average camera quality, the ditching of a headphone jack and the lack of some of AI features out of the box are fertile grounds to draw apprehensions. Overall, the device is a solid choice with clear positives.
