Akin to Redmi 12 5G, the Redmi 13 5G offers more or less the same design language. Comparatively heavier than what this price segment’s smartphones usually feel, this device weighs 205g with a thickness of 8.3mm. It features a back panel made up of glass, which Xiaomi refers to as a ‘crystal glass’ design. To users’ delight, the back is smudge-free, though it gives away a slippery profile. At the top left corner of the back, the camera module is placed, featuring a two-camera setup. The device is available in three colour variants- Ocean Blue, Pearl Pink, and Midnight Black.

Redmi 13 5G Review: Display

The Redmi 13 5G boasts a 6.79-inch display with a refresh rate up to 120Hz. Bezels are noticeable, being thicker at the bottom. The display provides an overall good experience as content streaming has been smooth. Additionally, you can use this device with wet hands as it is equipped with the Wet Finger Touch Display functionality.

Redmi 13 5G Review: Performance and Software

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, the Redmi 13 5G handles day-to-day tasks without any flicker. The device is available in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB RAM/internal storage variants, which complement the basic performance of the device. Watching content on Netflix, YouTube, etc., and browsing social media offered no technical hiccups. It runs on Xiaomi Hyper OS based on Android 14. There are some pre-installed apps, some of them being useful, while the third-party apps can be uninstalled.

Redmi 13 5G Review: Camera

The Redmi 13 5G features a dual camera setup, including a 108-megapixel main sensor with a 2-megapixel macro camera. The camera performance is satisfactory, if not the best, considering the segment it belongs to.

Under well-lit conditions, the main camera gives good colour representation, maintaining manageable contrast. For selfies, you get a 13MP shooter which does the job of capturing decent skin tones.

The smartphone packs a 5,030mAh battery which comes with 33W fast charging support. Under moderate usage scenarios, the battery lasts for a day.
