Vivo V29e Review: The Vivo V29e is one of the slimmest phones available in the market in its price range. It is just 7.5mm thick and has a one-piece narrow frame that measures 2.29mm.
Vivo V29e Review: Vivo has launched another smartphone in the highly-competitive mid-range segment - Vivo V29e. It is available in two variants - 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The smartphone is priced at Rs 26,999 and Rs 28,999, and is available in two colours - Artistic Red and Artistic Blue. Here I am using the higher variant of the device in Artistic Red colour. If you are planning to buy this smartphone, here's everything you need to know.
Vivo V29e Review: Design
The Vivo V29e is one of the slimmest phones available in the market in its price range. It is just 7.5mm thick and has a one-piece narrow frame that measures 2.29mm. This makes the smartphone quite comfortable to hold in hand. Also, the dual-tone back looks premium. While the left side has a glossy finish, on the right is a shimmery matte finish. The left side has a diamond pattern that shines when light falls on it. Also, the right side of the back is prone to scratches so it is advisable to use covers. Another important aspect of Vivo V29e's design is that it is quite lightweight and weighs just 180.5 grams. While curved back and front have become common these days, the dual-tone pattern helps the Vivo V29e stand out from the crowd.
Vivo V29e Review: Display
The Vivo V29e comes with a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 1300 nits, sufficient to use even outdoors. Also, the display is good and vibrant and offers a smooth scrolling experience.
Vivo V29e Review: Performance and software
The Vivo V29e is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset which lets you perform all the daily tasks easily and even allows you to multitask. However, it is not made for heavy gaming. This can be a bit of a concern for users as there are quite capable smartphones in this price range that can easily let you play heavy games like Asphalt 9 and BGMI. The smartphone runs on FunTouch OS 13 based on the Android 13 platform and comes with several bloatware.
Vivo V29e Review: Battery and charging
The Vivo V29e comes with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging. The 5,000mAh battery can easily last for a day even with slightly heavy usage. It will take around one hour to juice up the device from zero to 100 per cent.
Vivo V29e Review: Camera
The smartphone has a triple camera set-up at the back with a 64MP OIS main camera along with an 8MP wide-angle lens. The camera is capable of clicking good images during daylight and offers good dynamic range. The best thing is that most of the images clicked using the smartphone have natural colour tones. But in low light, the images are not very crisp and lose details. The smartphone also clicks good portrait images.

On the front, the Vivo V29e has a 50MP selfie camera that clicks good images in natural light.
Vivo V29e Review: Verdict
If you are one who prioritises looks over specs, the Vivo V29e is definitely for you. It comes with a premium design and a curved display adds to the beauty. Also, it offers a 120Hz refresh rate, a good battery and a decent camera. This device doesn't come with a powerful chip and therefore don't expect it to do the heavy lifting. Moreover, there are smartphones that provide much better performance at this price point. So if you don't mind spending some extra bucks for a good-looking smartphone, then the Vivo V29e is for you.
