Despite being a mid-ranger, sporting a plastic back, the OnePlus Nord CE4 lures you with its premium feeling. The plastic back, made of hard plastic material, keeps this device smudge-free. Moving to the camera module, the previously used rounded camera setup has been replaced with a fresh vertical pill-shaped cutout, housing the dual camera setup along with the LED flash, enhancing the device's appearance.

The volume rockers and power buttons can be found on the right side, while the left side remains plain, without any assistive buttons. Additionally, you will find an IR blaster, seemingly inspired by the 12 Series, located at the top. It allows you to control electronic devices through the pre-installed ‘IR Remote’ application. The device weighs 186 grams and has a thickness of 8.4mm. Overall, the smartphone feels great in hand, especially the Celadon Marble colour variant which we used as a review unit. 

OnePlus Nord CE4 5G Review: Display

The OnePlus Nord CE4 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, further bolstered by a blazing refresh rate up to 120Hz. It boasts a peak brightness of up to 900 nits. Although donning a flat screen, the bezels are minimal, and the multimedia experience is set to improve with an impressive screen-to-body ratio. While watching content on YouTube and other platforms, this display guarantees vivid colours with sufficient sharpness. An IP54 rating elevates the worthiness of this device a notch above its contemporaries. 

OnePlus Nord CE4 5G Review: Software and Performance

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and utilizing LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, the OnePlus Nord CE4 feels compatible in handling all your daily tasks without any lag. It seamlessly undertakes a plethora of activities, ranging from gaming to multitasking, and from browsing web pages to movie watching, without any stutter. While there are minimal heating issues, considering the segment, this can’t be a big enough concern for most users. Further, it comes with OxygenOS 14 on board, with a two-year Android OS update promise, which undoubtedly, keeps buyers wishing for at least an extra update. The UI experience is a gem for users craving a cleaner interface as Oxygen OS tenders a responsive and light feel. 

OnePlus Nord CE4 5G Review: Camera

The smartphone features a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP SonyLYT 600 primary sensor with OIS support and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra wide-angle lens. In daylight, the image quality is brilliant, capturing natural colours with great details. The shots are crisp and vibrant. In low light conditions also, the camera seems to justify its segment, producing satisfactory detail with low noise. The 8MP shooter offers decent pictures; however, the shift in colours, though minimal, can’t be overlooked. On the front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera that ensures good selfies, impressively detecting skin tone. 

OnePlus Nord CE4 5G Review: Battery

Accompanied by a 5,500 mAh battery, the device has its power capabilities, including charging speed and backup, properly settled. It comes with a charging capacity of 100W, getting fully charged in around 40 minutes. With this device, you can certainly expect more than a day’s worth of backup.

The OnePlus Nord CE4 5G appears to be perfectly encompassing all the essential features expected of an all-rounder smartphone. Nonetheless, there do exist some undeniable areas of improvement, including the multimedia experience and the limited two years of Android OS updates. To make an honest submission, the OnePlus Nord CE4 manages to mark its own presence as a balanced mid-range device with robust build quality, improved battery life with super-fast charging, and more than an average kind of camera performance. But it's the design that will attract the buyers the most.
