Nokia C32 Review: Entry-level workhorse offers blend of performance and features
Nokia C32 Review: The smartphone has a dual camera setup at the back with a primary sensor of 50MP. It is accompanied by 2MP macro sensor.
Nokia C32 Review: Nokia is back with a new smartphone, this time in the entry-level segment. Nokia C32 has been launched at a starting price of Rs 8,999 and offers a one-year replacement guarantee. Can this be a good option for those looking for an entry-level smartphone? Find out in our full review.
Nokia C32 Review: Design
The Nokia C32 is available in two storage variants (4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB) and three colour options - Beach Pink, Mint and Charcoal. Despite the plastic body, the side frame with a metallic finish and toughened rear glass panel give Nokia C32 a touch of premium-ness. On the right side is the volume rocker and power button, which doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. I must say the fingerprint sensor is quite responsive. The smartphone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top and Type-C charging port, speaker and mic at the bottom.
Nokia C32 Review: Display
It comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD waterdrop notch display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 Pixels. While the good thing is that it has 2.5D toughened glass on the front, the bezel at the bottom is quite thick and the phone offers an only 81.6 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The brightness level is good and the smartphone can be easily used outdoors. Touchscreen could have been a little more responsive but one cannot complain about it as this is an entry-level smartphone. Colour reproduction is fairly accurate and content consumption on this smartphone can be fun. The speaker too produces decent sound.
Nokia C32 Review: Performance and software
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core chipset. Also, it has 4GB of RAM and an additional 3GB of virtual RAM. You can perform daily tasks seamlessly. Besides, the Nokia C32 boots Android 13 out-of-the-box and the user interface is free from clutter and bloatware - something which has become a trademark of Nokia.
Also, the company promises two years of quarterly security updates on the Nokia C32.
Nokia C32 Review: Camera
The smartphone has a dual camera setup at the back with a primary sensor of 50MP. It is accompanied by 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, you get an 8MP camera on the front. Both cameras click good enough images in daylight and you can click some decent images in low-light conditions as well.
Nokia C32 Review: Battery
Nokia C32 has a 5,000mAh battery and can last for two days with moderate usage. It doesn't support fast charging and you will have to charge the device for around 2 hours to juice it up fully. The good thing is that Nokia gives charging brick with the device.
Nokia C32 Review: Verdict
This phone has managed to strike a balance between performance and features but does lack things like fast charging, something its competitors are providing in this price range. But the trust factor associated with Nokia gives this smartphone an edge.
