Infinix GT 20 Pro Review: Flaunting the much-hyped ‘Cyber Mecha’ design, the Infinix GT 20 Pro stands out, compared to other devices.
Infinix GT 20 Pro Review: It is not a hidden fact that the under Rs 25,000 smartphone segment is already witnessing a near saturation level, attributed to multiple brands introducing devices in this category. The stakes are going to be even higher with the latest launch from Infinix, the Infinix GT 20 Pro. With a pleasant induction of MediaTek 8200 Ultimate chipset, along with other features, the brand is apparently looking to cater to budget gaming enthusiasts.
Infinix GT 20 Pro Review: Design
Flaunting the much-hyped ‘Cyber Mecha’ design, the Infinix GT 20 Pro stands out, compared to other devices. On the back, it features a rectangular camera module along with a C-shaped lighting ring. Interestingly, the Mecha Loop Lighting can be customised for different actions, providing unique light effects for notifications incoming calls, music, gaming, and more. The inclusion of RGB enhances this feature to provide different lighting effects. The in-hand feel of the device is boxy, with a plastic back that is prone to smudges. However, the device is easy to hold for even prolonged usage sessions, thanks to the smooth edges. This smartphone does not have a 3.5mm audio jack. It is also poised to handle splashes and dust with its IP54 rating.
Infinix GT 20 Pro Review: Display
The Infinix GT 20 Pro features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ LTPS AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1300 nits, which is bright enough even in outdoor conditions. Notably, the device comes with a variable refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The screen is smooth, delivering good contrast, complemented by deeper blacks. The multimedia experience is impeccable with the presence of JBL-tuned dual speakers.
Infinix GT 20 Pro Review: Performance and Software
Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate processor, the Infinix GT 20 Pro performs exceptionally well. While using the phone for daily tasks, it gives no headache. Activities such as social media browsing, photo clicking or video recording, and switching between different apps are seamless. For gamers out there, this device has huge prospects, as it runs high graphic games with ease, without any technical hiccups. Games like BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile could be run at high settings, bolstering the device’s gaming credentials. The phone manages the temperature remarkably well even during long sessions of playing games. It runs on XOS 14, which is based on Android 14. The reduction in the bloatware is an aspect to be appreciated. The company promises 2 years of Android updates and three years of security patches.
Infinix GT 20 Pro Review: Camera
Adorned with a triple camera setup, including a 108MP primary sensor with OIS, a 2 MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro shooter, the Infinix GT 20 Pro can be considered a so-so camera device. The primary sensor produces visually satiating outputs, maintaining good details. In addition, skin tone and edge detection have been found to be superb with this sensor. However, sometimes the outputs seem to be overexposed, leaving users craving for betterment. Nonetheless, the low-light photography is good, offering satisfactory clarity. The 32MP selfie camera, if not so impressive, provides manageable outputs.
Infinix GT 20 Pro Review: Battery
The Infinix GT 20 Pro packs a 5,000 mAh battery with a 45W fast charging capacity. It takes almost an hour to fully charge the battery, which is something to be concerned about, given what other brands in the same segment are offering. Importantly, the device comes with several charging features, among which the AI charging feature merits discussion. This feature enables the device to learn from the user’s usage pattern and halts charging after reaching 80 per cent.
Infinix GT 20 Pro Review: Verdict
Offering an immersive gaming experience, backed by the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset, the Infinix GT 20 Pro is a gamer’s delight. The device also features a crisp 6.78-inch AMOLED display and a 108MP primary camera with OIS, along with a cooling fan solution, etc., making it tempting for buyers. If you are someone looking for a splashy design with a next-gen sort of profile, thanks to RGB lighting, the device is a must to consider.
