EarFun Air Pro 3 Review: If big sound and big battery are your thing
In terms of battery, the EarFun Air Pro 3 never seems to run out of power. To make things simpler, let me tell you that these buds lasted much longer than almost all the latest buds that I have used in the past 6 months or so.
The buyer is already spoilt for choice when it comes to True Wireless Stereo (TWS) — there are tons of brands to choose from, and there's a new name in the market every second day. This makes the hunt for the most suitable pair of earbuds strenuous, but every once in a while, there's a new name that makes one sit up and notice. I recently used EarFun Air Pro 3 and realised that it is actually not that difficult to zero-in on wireless earbuds that offer good features and great audio quality at affordable prices. However, it does come with some compromises. Read the full review to find out whether EarFun Air Pro 3 fits the bill or not.
EarFun Air Pro 3 Review: Price and availability
The EarFun Air Pro 3 is available on the e-commerce platform Amazon for Rs 6,299. However, there are some coupons and offers that can bring the price below Rs 6,000.
As I mentioned about some compromises in the very beginning, let's talk about them first. The first drawback is that EarFun Air Pro 3 looks outdated — I'll tell you why. The case, as well as the buds, seem larger and bulkier when compared to some of the latest offerings that are sleeker and snazzy. I have not used any earbuds with such long stems in the past few months. However, I got the hang of it within a few days of using the Earfun Air Pro.

The buds feature good quality soft silicone tips that felt comfortable from the moment I first popped them in and they handled sweat pretty well. However, during my initial few days, the buds had the tendency to fall out. I then changed the default ear tips and didn't face the issue again. These earbuds come with an IPX5 rating making them sweat and water-resistant.
Now let's talk about the sound quality. This is one of the strongest points of the EarFun Air Pro 3. It comes with hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) and you can feel it as soon as you plug them on. So, ANC is quite good at this price and this ultimately lets you immerse in your favorite music even more. Then there is ambient mode as well for moments when you do need some ambience to filter in — for instance, while jogging on footpath (in the vicinity of vehicles) or while walking in crowded marketplaces. The EarFun Audio app lets you do a lot of things - from customising controls to using the equaliser.
You can not only use the equaliser to adjust bass or treble but it also lets you save the custom settings — something not very common with devices at this price point. This is a small but significant feature as it allowed me to listen to my favourite songs according to my preferred equaliser settings — negating the need for tinkering every other time.
For instance, I have saved 'Favorite 1' with more treble-heavy settings that I use while listening to songs like 'Kanda Kacheya Ne' by Jyotica Tangri. Similarly, there's another custom setting (Favorite 2) that offers heavy bass when I want to listen to Punjabi music like 'Teeji Seat' by Kaka. Also, the one very important aspect of these buds is that they pump out volume quite well and I couldn't listen to songs even at 80 per cent volume for too long. What is even better is that there's no distortion even at full volume. So, for those who really like listening to songs at high volume, the EarFun Air Pro 3 is going to be the perfect companion.
There are some additional features like game mode that offer low latency. Also, it comes with the next-gen low energy or LE Audio and low complexity communication or LC3 codec. Just to give a perspective, the LC3 codec is much more efficient than the widely used SBC or sub-band codec.

Also, the 6-mic array works well in picking the user's voice during calls. I used these earbuds to attend some Google Meet sessions and tons of audio calls and nobody complained about the voice quality.
In terms of battery, the EarFun Air Pro 3 never seems to run out of power. To make things simpler, let me tell you that these buds lasted much longer than almost all the latest buds that I have used in the past 6 months or so. It takes nearly 2 hours to fully charge the case using a Type-C USB cable, and it supports wireless charging.
EarFun Air Pro 3 Review: Verdict
If you want earbuds that offer long battery life, are among the loudest with zero distortion, and offer good noise cancellation, the EarFun Air Pro 3 can be a good option to consider. But then you will have to adjust with long stems and a large case too. In a nutshell, the EarFun Air Pro 3 seems to offer much more than its price.
