Boult BassBox X250 Review: Ultimate soundbar for bass enthusiasts

Boult recently launched three new Bluetooth-supported soundbars, which include the BassBox X60, BassBox X250, and BassBox X500. Equipped with the company’s BoomX technology, the devices offer a powerful bass experience with seamless Bluetooth connectivity. In this review, we shall take a closer look at the features of the Boult BassBox X250.

The soundbar boasts an aesthetically pleasing design with a modern silhouette, featuring a radical brushed finish and a perforated mesh grille. Overall, it looks sleek and compact. The side panel houses four buttons: Power/Mode, Play/Pause, Volume Up, and Volume Down. The Power/Mode button can be pressed for three seconds to turn the device on or off.

The Boult BassBox X250 supports 250W output and has a 2.1-channel audio output system. The device is equipped with wired woofers, and BoomX technology, enhancing the bass experience. 

Additionally, the soundbar features dedicated DSP units and supports Dolby Atmos. The features also encompass preset EQ modes for movies, news, and music.

For connectivity, the soundbar offers multiple options, including AUX, USB, and HDMI(ARC). It is available in a single black colourway. The company claims that Dolby Digital Sound provides high-fidelity audio with a peak output of 250 watts, creating an immersive, theatre-like experience. Additionally, it supports Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring seamless connectivity. 

The Dedicated DSPs help in minimizing noise, thanks to premium ADCs and DACs. The setup delivers low latency and virtual sound effects, filling the room with cinema-quality audio. 

The Boult BassBox X250 supports multiple input modes, including support for USB, HD(ARC), AUX, and Optical fibre. Its control system is user-friendly, featuring an integrated control panel on the soundbar as well as an ergonomic remote control. Furthermore, the soundbar is compatible with a range of devices, such as computers, smart TVs, laptops, mobile phones, and more. Its cross-compatibility with Bluetooth and HDMI devices is another notable advantage.
