ASUS ExpertBook B1402 laptop is a slim and light notebook that is quite portable. Also, its 180-degree lay-flat hinges are useful for those who have to work in a team. It has a 14-inch Anti-Glare HD display that offers a comfortable viewing experience.

According to Dinesh Sharma; Vice President - ASUS India, head commercial PC and smartphone, system business group, the B1402 comes with a plethora of features that are generally missing in this segment.

"It comes with US Military-grade reliability and goes through stringent in-house ASUS testing and passes the 30k continuous hinge test while being able to sustain up to 25KGs of Panel pressure on top and bottom protecting the display. With a key focus on security, it's equipped with features like privacy shield optional IR Camera Trusted Platform Module (TPM 2.0), Kensington Lock, and USB port control," Sharma said.

People who want to buy this laptop have three options - Intel Core i3-1215U, Intel Core i5-1235U, or Intel Core i7-1255U - to select from. Here we are using Core i5. I didn't face any lag during my over a week-long usage.

The ExpertBook B1402 features the improved NumberPad 2.0, a numeric keypad integrated into the touchpad that makes up for the lack of physical numeric keypads in compact laptops.

"For added convenience, the B1402 incorporates an innovative Asus Number pad that has a physical number pad on the trackpad=for dual functionality. Asus Expertbook B1402/B1502 also packs in Dual Type C Ports with a 65-watt Type C Charger that can charge both your laptop as well as your smartphone. All these features are packed in a compact and sturdy structure that is supported by a thick internal metal brace plate in the chassis to provide extra durability while weighing just 1.49 kg," Sharma said.

The performance of the laptop is quite good when it comes to video conferences and content consumption. Also, the Bluetooth 5.3 technology makes wireless connectivity with compatible devices quite effortless. The 42Whr battery of the smartphone can come in handy when working for long hours on the move.

The ASUS Expert B1402 is not just powerful but portable as well. The laptop is capable of meeting the needs of the business professional as well as an individual.
