WhatsApp multi-device support: Here's how to use your account on four devices

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support: WhatsApp has recently launched a few significant features to improve the user experience. These new upgrades include pinned messages, several account support or the companion mode, replies from the lock screen, multi-device support, polls and quizzes, screen sharing, and many more. 

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support: The one important feature we are going to talk about today is the companion mode. People using WhatsApp can connect four phones to the same account with the help of this feature. 

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support: We will delve into the WhatsApp tool of multiple-device support. Earlier, WhatsApp had a rule that didn't allow users to use the same number to log in to multiple devices. However, this year WhatsApp introduced a change.

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support: Users can now utilize the same WhatsApp account on several devices at the same time due to a new feature called multi-device support, also known as the companion mode. 

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support: This feature of the app allows users to link four different smartphones using their main phone. They can utilize any of these accounts for as long as they wish with only one condition. They need to sign in to their main phone every 14 days for the phones to stay connected.

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support: The new feature will let users choose to connect the primary phone to four various computers or four different smartphones irrespective of which device they select. Nonetheless, the procedure to link desktops and phones is slightly different.

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support: Users need to scan the QR code with their main phone to link WhatsApp with laptops. They can follow the same steps if they use an application on Windows.

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support: Install WhatsApp to turn on the companion mode feature if users want to link their main account with different smartphones. 

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support: They need to agree to the privacy policies by clicking on the three dots located on the upper-right side of the screen. 

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support: As users click on three dots, a drop-down will pop up and offer an option to link their smartphone as a companion device. The next screen will open up after choosing this option which will ask users to scan the QR code and the work is done. 

WhatsApp Multi-Device Support: However, a couple of limitations are there to this feature. Companion phones do not support live location and add status features. If users do not use their main phone for 14 days, their companion devices will also be signed out.
