Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones, which were launched recently, have topped the global smartphone ranking by the US-based magazine Consumer Report`s mobile phones ratings based on durability, speed and sound.
The durability of Samsung Galaxy S9 made it through 100 drops with just minor scratches, the report said.
The Samsung Galaxy S9+ survived the first 50 drops but cracked at some point in the next 50, it said.
Both Samsung Galaxy S9, Samsung Galaxy S9+ handsets received 81 points each overall.
Samsung Galaxy S8 was ranked third with 80 overall points while Samsung S8 Active points) and Galaxy S8 Plus secured 79 points.
Apple iPhone X stood eighth with 78 points while the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8 took sixth and seventh places, respectively.
