Playfit Slim quick review: Decent budget smartwatch at Rs 3,999

We used Playfit Slim smartwatch for more than 10 days and here's what we have to say about this decent budget smartwatch.  Playfit Slim sports a regular circular design, including an aluminum watch dial.  The smartwatch has two different color variants, including blue and black. It claims to go on for seven days on a single charge with a standby time of 15 days. It has multiple sports modes, SpO2 monitor, Bluetooth calling facility, full touch display, sleep monitor, vigilant inactivity alert, heart rate tail and more than 99 watch faces. For charging, both the smartwatches support two-pin magnetic chargers. They are compatible with iOS and Android devices. It is equipped with features like a full-touch display, water and dust protection, multiple sports modes, heart rate and fitness tracker, sleep and SPO2 monitor, and more. 

Playfit Slim comes with a round-shaped aluminium dial and It is indeed very comfortable to use. It comes with an interchangeable strap. The Playfit Slim comes in a round shape aluminum watch dial. As the name suggests, this smartwatch is slim, comfortable and fits easily. The device is embedded with a fashionable strap in Black and Blue colours giving it a wholesome appearance. It comes with a working capacity of 7 days with 15 days standby time. The overall design and look of the Playfit Slim smartwatch will really impress you. This smartwatch has almost ticked all the right boxes from style, battery performance, fitness tracking to its overall performance. The Playfit Slim smartwatch is extremely light, making it a comfortable companion for the wrist all day long. The rear side of the smartwatch houses the charging pins and the heart-rate sensor. This multi-tasking smartwatch looks premium on the wrist as well. The dial of the Playfit Slim watch is covered by the 1.28-inch round IPS LCD display that is surrounded by thin bezels and has a 2.5D cover plastic.

The display of this smartwatch is impressive and it has a good level of brightness and clarity, and sunlight readability. We didn’t face a problem using the smartwatch in bright light conditions. It enhances the viewing experience by automatically adjusting the display brightness based on the lighting and environmental conditions. The smartwatch straps were comfortable to wear and didn’t cause any irritation to the skin. On the right side of the dial, you will see  Home button of the smartwatch, which can be used as the Power button. Playfit Slim has a number of features that it can perform including tracking steps and sleep, measuring heart rate and blood-oxygen levels, and it comes with 24 sports modes. Also, It helps in tracking including Outdoor Running, Swimming, Cycling, Table Tennis, Skipping, Badminton, Tennis, Walking, Climbing, Basketball, Football, Baseball, Volleyball, Cricket, Rugby, Hockey, Spinning, Dance, Gymnastics, Jumping Jacks, Boating, Sit-Up, Yoga, and Indoor Running.

While doing basic tasks like working out at home, doing physical activities, the smartwatch didn't disappoint at all.  For connectivity, the smartwatch supports Bluetooth 5.0 and we didn't face any issue while connecting it with the Android smartphones I have. You can also connect the watch via Playfit App -- it captures, monitors and analyses your data and ensures you are on track to meet your fitness goals. Once you do this, you would be able to see all the menus on the smartwatch. You will also see the option of picking from several watch faces to customize the watch. In terms of battery performance, once fully charged, this smartwatch can last for more than six days. The battery performance was up to the mark. However, we felt that the charging is slow here, which is the only disappointing factor we have seen in this smartwatch. Otherwise, the overall performance was amazing.

Verdict: Priced at Rs 3,999, the Playfit Slim smartwatch comes equipped with features like a full-touch display, water and dust protection, multiple sports modes, heart rate and fitness tracker, sleep and SPO2 monitor, and more. I can say that if you're looking for a budget smartwatch with multiple features at around Rs 4,000, this smartwatch won't disappoint you.
