A new bug has been identified in iOS that can cause Apple iPhones and iPads to crash for a brief time. A security expert who has done a study says that typing a few characters can trigger the bug and cause the crash of iPhones and iPads.

iPhone users alert: Reports suggest typing these four characters on Apple devices might cause the collapse of the gadgets. The security researcher has mentioned that typing - “”:: - might lead to the collapse of the Apple mobile user interface, known as Springboard.

iPhone users alert: As per the report, these characters make the Springboard crash when they are typed into the Search bar in the Settings application of Apple devices and when users jab all the way to the right on their home screen and type these characters into the App Library search bar.

iPhone users alert: Many other tech experts also have supported the findings. They have said that stimulating the bug by typing these characters can briefly cause a collapse of the Springboard, then it reloads to the users’ lock screen.
