But the new experimental feature will allow premium users to disable touch input while watching the video.

As per this feature, if testers are watching the video in full-screen mode, they can tap on the gear icon located at the top-left corner of the screen and select lock screen.

The company said that the experimental feature in available on Android and IOS handsets for testing till August 5.

Long Press to watch 2X

The feature to boost theh speed of a video is already available on YouTube, but users have to go through a long process to access it.

They first tap the video they are playing to access the three dot menu, then tap the playback speed option and choose different speed options to decrease or increase the speed of the video.

The new feature will make the process much smoother and faster.

Under the new feature, a user can long-press anywhere on the video player to automatically boost the speed of playback by 2X. The feature is also under testing till August 13.
