Priced at Rs 20,990, the new Xiaomi's Poco F1 is set to give competition to OnePlus 6 and Asus Zenfone 5Z, although these devices cost more than Rs 30,000! According to media reports, minor problems in the software department are being faced by customers, inspite of sporting a great hardware.

In order to polish off minor issues, the smartphone maker has now started rolling out an OTA update for its custom Poco MIUI. This will also add some new feature and better system stability. The new update is likely dubbed as MIUI v9.6.18 and is 335MB in size, according to MySmartPrice.

The users have already started receiving the notification for it. This roll out of the new update will mainly make additions to the camera app, which for starters now has been optimized to open and process images faster along with the minor change in the interface. This will also lead to direct access to the beautification mode for the front camera.

The performance of the dual microphones to deliver a better audio recording quality will also improve with this update. Besides, the app will allow user use mobile data without swapping SIM card when traveling in different countries.

Xiaomi Poco F1 features
Performance is the key USP of the device and is coupled with  Snapdragon 845 processor and liquid cooling technology. This technology will dissipate heat during taxing tasks such as prolonged gaming.

On the camera front, it sports a 12MP + 5MP dual camera at the rear end and 20MP front camera.  On the front, it sports a 20 MP high-res front camera and IR Face unlock. The main camera sensor features 1.4 um pixels, Dual Pixel Autofocus, and Multi-frame noise reduction. POCO F1 also boasts of a massive 4000 mAh (typ) battery with Quick Charge 3.0 to keep you going all day long.

Teasers of the smartphone are also revealed with Gorilla Glass and a notched display. It is expected the device would come with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The company has also revealed a limited edition of the device and that all variants of it will come with 3D face unlock, which is likely to work in low-light conditions.

Other than Xiaomi’s teasers, the device was leaked in an unboxing and benchmarks of the device showed up on Geekbench as well. Poco F1 was spotted on Geekbench with 6GB and 8GB RAM, in terms of benchmarks.

Poco F1 also runs Android 8.1 Oreo and according to an earlier leaked video of the smartphone, it comes with MIUI on top.
