Xiaomi is in no mood to stop! After introducing the Redm Note 7, the Redmi Note 7 Pro, and the Redmi Go in India over the last two months, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is now set to launch a Y-series smartphone in the country. While the Redmi Y3 smartphone has been teased on a number of occasions by the manufacturer, it finally made the launch date official on Monday. The Redmi Y3 will be launched on April 24 at an event in Gurgaon. The company made the announcement by sending out media invites for the event.

The Y series has always made headlines for its selfie cameras. And, the Redmi Y3 will not be any different. The smartphone will have a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Since, the camera is the biggest USP of this smartphone, it is expected to come with a lot of Ai features. The design and battery of the Redmi Y3 was also teased by Xiaomi India ahead of the launch. The company said that the smartphone will come with a gorgeous design. It could have a dot drop notch like the Note 7 devices, aura design or gradient finish, glass body, and minimal bezels.

Xiaomi has claimed that the smartphone would come with larger battery that would last more than a day on a single charge. 

The phone would be an upgraded version of the Redmi Y2 which came with a 5.99-inch full-screen display with 1440x720p resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with up to 4GB RAM + 64GB storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. The Redmi Y2 has a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front and 12MP+5MP AI dual rear camera on the back.

It was powered by a 3000mAh battery. The 3GB RAM and 32GB storage of the phone is currently selling for Rs 8,999 in India. The 4GB RAM and 64GB variant is available for Rs 10,999. The smartphone is available in many colours like gold, dark grey, blue, rose gold, and black. 

The price of Redmi Y3 would be revealed at the launch event.
