Xiaomi Redmi Y2 sale begins on Amazon; check price, specifications and more

Xiaomi Redmi Y2 smartphone sale started today exclusively on Amazon India. The mid-range device featuring a nearly 6.0-inch full-screen display is powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC processor. Packed with the AI-powered 16-megapixel selfie camera, Redmi Y2 is available in two RAM and storage variants and has a starting price of Rs 9,999.
 
Xiaomi's new smartphone price in India starts at Rs 9,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model comes with a price tag of Rs 12,999. Airtel customers can get Rs 1,800 instant cashback on up to 240GB data free upon purchasing the Redmi Y2 on Amazon India. Amazon has stated that buyers can avail Redmi Y2 at cheaper rate than market price. 
 
The Cashback will be provided in the form of 36 discount Coupons worth Rs 50 each adding up to total amount worth Rs 1800. When customer registers on the MyAirtel app on an offer eligible handset, the coupons get credited in the MyAirtel app of the primary number within 24 hours. These coupons will be valid for 36 months post credit, and the offer is applicable only on Airtel Prepaid recharges of Rs 199 or Rs 448 done through My Airtel App
 
The Redmi Y2 boasts of a 5.99-inch HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with octa-core Cortex-A53 CPUs and Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone includes 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage.
 
On the camera front, Redmi Y2 has a dual rear setup- 12-megapixel primary lens with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF + 5-megapixel secondary lens. The cameras include gyro-EIS, LED flash and shoots HD video at 30 frames per second. The front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel lens and comes with LED flash.
 
Further, the new phone also has a dedicated fingerprint sensor on the back besides having face unlock. With respect to connectivity, there is support for WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and comes with a standard Micro USB 2.0 port.

Backed by a 3080mAh battery, the new device runs on MIUI 9.5 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone is available in three colours of Gray, Gold and Rose Gold.
