The smartphone has also been teased by Redmi India on its Twitter handle while an image of the same was shared by Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain as well. The images suggest the presence of a quad rear camera on the Redmi Note 9 series which is likely to be aligned in a square shape.

The teaser also hints at a faster refresh rate which could be 90Hz. This will make the Redmi Note 9 series smartphones among most affordable to be equipped by the screen. The Mi.com website and Amazon India carry an identical microsite that suggests some other features of the new Redmi Note series.

It hints that the phone could come with a new design, processor, and gaming features. The customers will also get fast charging technology on the latest Redmi Note models.

The Redmi Note 9 line-up will compete against the Realme 6 series in the Indian market. The latter is set to be revealed during a launch event on March 5. Realme too has confirmed that its devices will come with a 90Hz display along with fast-charging capabilities.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain in January announced a partnership with Qualcomm to launch one of the first Snapdragon 720G phones in the country. That phone might just be one of the Redmi Note 9 models.
