Xiaomi Mi Update: Smartphone gets 4G VoLTE Feature with Android 9 Pie update

With the latest Android 9 Pie update, Chinese phonemaker Xiaomi has enabled Dual 4G functionality on Mi A1 smartphone. Following a beta update, in various countries like Netherlands, Belgium including India, Android 9 Pie stable update has been rolled out to Mi A1.

Xiaomi Mi A1runs on Snapdragon 625 which is a chipset built on 14nm process along with Snapdragon X9 LTE modem. The customers who have received the latest Android 9 Pie update on their Mi A1 have to go to the Settings>Network & Internet>Mobile Network>change the second SIM ‘Preferred Network Type’ to 4G.
