Xiaomi Mi Max 2 to go on sale today; should you buy it?
Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi will be hosting a third anniversary sale in which the Mi Max 2 will go on sale. We review its specifications.

Xiaomi’s recently launched Mi Max 2 will go on sale today on Mi’s official website as a part of its third anniversary sale in India.
The third Mi sale will begin at 10am on Thursday, the company’s website said as it will offer the Mi Max 2 for Rs 16,999.
Mi Max 2 was launched in India on Tuesday July 18.
It has a 6.44-inch screen display and is a phablet - a smartphone having a screen which is intermediate in size between that of a typical smartphone and a tablet computer. The smartphone is also powered by Snapdragon 625 processor.
Just like its predecessor – Mi Max, the Mi Max 2 have a few features in common, as per a report by India Today speaking about the fingerprint scanner placement. Mi Max 2 also has a rear-mounted circular fingerprint scanner curved at 2.5DCorning Gorilla Glass (unspecified) on the front with backlit capacitive keys, the report said.
Capacitive sensitive keys can detect and measure anything that is conductive or has a dielectric different from air.
The Chinese smartphone maker claimed that the Mi Max 2 has 31 days of standby time and 57 hours of talktime.
The Mi Max 2 comes with Quick Charge 3.0 technology with parallel charging which allows fast charging while controlling temperature increase.
The phone will also be available from July 27 from 10 a.m. on Flipkart, Amazon, TATA CLiQ and its offline partners.
In the '3rd Mi sale' the company will also be having a Re 1 flash sale where the Redmi 4A, 10,000mAh Mi PowerBank 2, and Wi-Fi Repeater 2 will be available for Re 1.
