Xiaomi Mi A3 to be launched in India on August 21, will come with triple rear camera
Xiaomi is all set to launch its next-gen Android One smartphone, the Mi A3 in India on August 21, a day after its Chinese rival Realme is set to unveil its first quad-camera devices - Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. Xiaomi has been teasing the Mi A3 on its social media platforms and confirmed the launch on Tuesday morning by rolling out the media invites.

Xiaomi has been teasing the Mi A3 on its social media platforms and confirmed the launch on Tuesday morning by rolling out the media invites. This comes a day after Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain released a teaser video to suggest the debut of the Mi A3 in the country. The one minute and 23 seconds video didn't reveal anything about the phone.
Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone will be a successor to the Mi A2 that was launched in India last year. It runs Android Pie out-of-the-box along with a stock experience. In the video posted on Twitter, Manu Kumar Jain had asked the Mi fans to predict the launch date of the Mi A3 in India. He also gave a glimpse of the phone which is likely to come with a gradient finish back.
What to expect from Mi A3?
The Mi A 3 would be another mid-range offering from Xiaomi that has already launched budget smartphones like the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Redmi K20 in the country. The Mi A3 was launched in Spain last month and comes at a starting price of EUR 249 (roughly Rs 19,900) for the 64GB variant. The 128GB storage option is priced at EUR 279 (roughly Rs 22,200). The phone runs Android 9 Pie and features a 6.08-inch HD+ (720x1560 pixels) AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop-style notch.

The phone sports an in-display fingerprint sensor and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. It features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with a 118-degree wide-angle f/1.79 lens, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor for depth sensing.
The Android One smartphone also houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera along with an f/2.0 lens. It packs a 4,030 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
