Xiaomi Mi A3 launch: From price in India, camera to battery; everything we know so far

After a highly active first half of 2019, where Xiaomi launched several smartphones in India like the Redmi Note 7 series and the Redmi Go, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer celebrated its five years in the country by launching the first flagship smartphone under its Redmi sub-brand – the Redmi K20 Pro, among many other devices. Now, the company is set to launch another phone in the country on August 21. Xiaomi has already confirmed that it will unveil the Mi A3 – a successor to the Mi A2 – in India on Tuesday. Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi has teased the device multiple times on its social media platforms. These leaks have given us some idea about the features and specs of the smartphone. Also, as the phone has already been launched in the international market, few other features are already known. However, the Indian variant might come with some tweak.
Here is everything we know about the Xiaomi Mi A3 so far
As mentioned above, the phone will on Google's Android One software program. This has already been confirmed by the Chinese manufacturer. The teaser and invite for the launch event also confirms the presence of a triple rear camera setup on the phone. The global variant of the Mi A3 features a primary 48MP Sony IMX 596 image sensor with an aperture size of f/1.79, secondary 8MP wide-angle camera sensor and third is a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots.
The Indian variant of the smartphone will come with a dot drop notch on the front, as suggested by the teaser. It is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 665 processor which will also powers the Realme.
It will be another mid-range offering by Xiaomi as the Mi A3 price for the global variant starts at 249 Euros that roughly translates to around Rs 19,000. This would place the phone nicely between the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Redmi K20 in the Indian market.
The global variant of the phone features a 6.088-inch OLED and a 32MP selfie sensor. It packs a massive 4030mAh battery.
