Redmi 7: The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi's new budget smartphone, Redmi 7, that had been in the talks for the last couple of days, is set to launch in India today. Alongside the company will also launch the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 7, which is expected to be slightly different from its Indian variant.

The launch of Redmi 7 is scheduled at 2pm CST (11:30am IST), on Monday, March 18. There would be a live streaming broadcast, on its dedicated pages over various social networking sites. 

Features and Price

The Redmi 7 is expected to be powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor, 632 AIE processor, with Android Pie as the operating system. The phone measures 158.7mm x 76.4mm x 8.5 mm and weighs 180 g.

The internal storage of the smartphone is 3GB+32GB/4GB+64GB and an external memory provision up to 256GB.

It boasts of a rear dual camera of 12MP+2MP while a front camera of 8MP, for the detailed quality of photos and videos. The smartphone is also equipped with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, fingerprint sensor, and a proximity sensor.

Redmi 7 has a battery capacity of 3900mAh. The phone's uni-body is available in eight colour tones, Black, red, blue, pink, white, green, purple and gray for the buyers to choose from.  

It is expected to be priced around Rs 9,300 in India, according to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, an earlier post.
